ABOUT SETU
South East Technological University is a public technological university located in the South East region of Ireland. It was formed from the amalgamation of two existing institutes of technology in the region – Waterford IT and IT Carlow. It was formally established on 1 May 2022 and is the only university in the South East of Ireland. SETU was ranked among the top 5 universities in Ireland in a 2021 ranking of higher education international institutions. It was ranked #3689 out of 14,131 universities in the world and #1022 in Europe in 2021, #18 out of 32 universities in Ireland and #2232 out of 3,920 for Agricultural Science.

University College Cork of Ireland, is a constituent university of the National University of Ireland, and located in Cork. The university was named Irish University of the Year by The Sunday Times on five occasions and was also named as top performing university by the European Commission funded U-Multirank system, based on obtaining the highest number of "A" scores among a field of 1200 partaking universities. UCC also became the first university to achieve the ISO 50001 standard in energy management in 2011.
